About Shakti

In Eastern spiritual tradition Shakti is the supreme goddess, source of kundalini energy, the feminine of the universe. She is the mother of all, protector from the troubles of the world, and a healer. She is the beautiful maiden, the vessel of desire and passion, and all other feminine aspects as well. While all women of the world are individuals, they are also all different manifestations of Shakti.

We named ourselves Shakti Essentials because we wanted to help women to be the highest expression of themselves, in the way they look, feel, and flow in the world. Whenever our products soothe, balance, invigorate and revitalize you, it is like the divine touch of Shakti upon your skin.

Our Products

The more one researches into skin care, the more one inevitably comes to marvel and appreciate the extraordinary healing powers of the countless varieties of natural flora that adorn our beautiful planet. The unique properties of plant-based extracts have been studied and utilized since ancient times. Our belief is that the pure essence of plants is the world's best source of lasting hydration, restoration, and rejuvenation for our skin.

Aside from our skin balm and lip balm, which are based in Unrefined Raw Shea Butter and Premium Unrefined Canadian Beeswax, all of our products are oils, 100% natural blends of pure essential oils and carrier oils. We chose to make oils over lotions because we know that lotions are simply oil and water held together by emulsifiers, bonding agents whose effect on the skin ranges from neutral to harmful. While lotions are popular because they tend to have more rapid absorption and can leave less oily residue on the skin, we have discovered that, if needed, applying oil to damp skin works in the same way as lotions, without the unnecessary ingredients. We recommend you try applying our products to both dry and moist skin, and you will quickly discover which works best for you.

As many essential oils are too concentrated to be applied directly to the skin, it is important to know the proper ratios with gentler base oils that optomize their effectiveness. Through years of research and testing, we have come up with what we feel are perfect blends that work synergistically towards their intended purpose of making the skin on your face, hands, and body look and feel healthy. After using Shakti Essentials oils and balms we are confident you will feel they are exactly what your skin has been thirsting for.

Our Mission

Our society is in the midst of a great awakening. After more than a century of exposing our bodies in almost every way possible to chemical substances, we are returning to nature. We have come to realize that we are best served when treated to all-natural products, which work in concert with our body's vital protective and regenerative systems rather than in opposition to them. When it comes to health and beauty, it is no wonder that a growing number of women are turning to what not only makes them look and feel great, but also contributes to their overall health and well-being.

We feel that our 100% pure essential-oil based face and body oils fit that description perfectly. But we also realized that we had to make our products affordable. You will notice that all of our products are under $35. Why? We could say it is due to our efficient workflow. We could say it is because we are not trying to get rich overnight, but rather are happy with a business that will sustain us. All true, but the driving force is our mission: to help get a critical mass of people thinking about and using natural products, so that we are playing an active role in this great awakening.
